Since Conley was born we have been spending most weekends out at my parents house. It's been nice to feel like we are getting out and away without actually having to because it is easy to get cabin fever with a newborn that you can't really take out in public yet. It's also nice to still not have to cook yet and I'm sure Conley doesn't mind being adored and smothered with love by my family. She's has had tons of visitors since she was born who think she is as gorgeous as we do.
We took Conley to the beach for the first time with friends and then Jesse and I took her to my favorite spot in Newport where we walked the streets of adorable houses and along the harbor. Conley is a very content baby and is easily lulled to sleep in the car, stroller, and Solly Wrap. My life is so sweet right now. It feels like a dream to be on a walk with my husband and beautiful baby and I'm soaking up every second of it. Life is really, really good.
Baby girl had her first bath two weeks after we brought her home from the hospital when her umbilical cord thing fell off. She hated it! She screamed so hard that she exhausted herself and fell asleep right after, but she did love having her hair brushed and nails clipped after. Since then we have bathed her many times and she now tolerates the bath without crying because we have learned that she likes the water much warmer than we originally thought. We also learned that you have to change her immediately into a diaper from the bath to avoid her pooping all over her dad, her towel, and the floor (whoops). The smell of our baby fresh out of the bath is divine.

When Conley was one week old we decided to take her for her first outing to the park. As rough as I looked and felt it really was nice to get out of the house for a bit and get some fresh air. Conley slept the whole time and we loved taking her for a spin in her new jogger stroller.
Life Lately
Conley's first two weeks
Just before Conley was two weeks old we spent the weekend at my parents and had my new favorite photographer take some newborn/family photos for us. How convenient that this photographer is in my family and did I mention she is only a senior in high school. Unreal! Check out her work at laurenkoford.com. Each day time with this babe just gets sweeter and sweeter. Jesse and I cuddle with her and stare at her all day and obsess over how beautiful she is. By the time she hits her teen years she will probably have a huge ego created by us telling her how gorgeous she is every two minutes. Onlookers probably think we are annoying, but yes we really do this. I love how simple these pictures are and the lighting is perfection. Lauren captured our new little family perfectly and I'm in love with these pictures of our baby and these moments that show our heavenly little bubble that we are currently living in with Conley.
